Gain clarity on Health Canada’s proposed front-of-pack labelling requirements and food label changes, CFIA’s proposed food labelling modernization regulations, new U.S. nutrition labeling rules under the U.S. FDA and National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard under the U.S. FDA.
Join us on May 30th for this half-day regulatory overview. Sonya Agbessi, Food Policy Liaison Officer Health Canada, will provide an overview of Health Canada’s Strategy for Healthy Eating, including the proposed front-of-pack labelling requirements, food labeling changes, trans fat ban and amended restrictions on food marketing to children. Gary Gnirss, NSF Technical Regulatory Trainer and President, Legal Suites Inc. will provide an outline of CFIA’s labelling modernization regulations and what the industry can expect over the coming years. Additionally, this session will cover the new U.S. nutrition facts panel requirements under the FDA and introduce the new National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard under the USDA.
